- Write down any information that you may think of off
of the top of your head regarding your family history.
- Interview relatives and tape record the interviews. Write
down all of their responses to your list of questions.
- Record names, dates, and places on family group records
and pedigree charts
NOTE:
Use the above mentioned recollections only as a guide. Memories are not always accurate, but they can provide valuable clues
when composing your family history. If you wish to join a pedigree type organization or have your results be considered offical,
you must provide documentation of your findings. I urge people to obtain documentation as they go..the prices of records and
copies will only inflate over time..its more economical in the long run to just copy as you go. When I copy anything related
to genealogy, I always state the source and the date.
Please take advantage of the interview questions and suggestions located
on the download page of this website. I also welcome any questions in e-mail as well!
